The best way to get ready for next season, never stop racing! Kingfisher winter series is back for its third year. Kingfisher winter series consists of 5 races, which are for club members only. The setup of every event is a bit different but the general idea is to get together before the event, do the event, and evaluate achievements afterwards with some drinks and/or food. Below is a list of the 5 events with some additional information. Signing up for the events is not necessary, just show up, and it's all free. Do be aware that these are social events where you are responsible for your own safety and risks of participating are yours. For every event the RC will assemble a results list and at the end of the series there may be some prizes π See you out there, Lieneke and Maarten

The winner of the club championship is the individual who does the best relative to their age group in a specified race. So if you win your age group, youβll win the championship! We wanted to recognise that racing can be expensive and members are doing really varied events, so weβre hoping by picking just one we can get a really great turnout from Kingfishers! We determine your score using the age category system. If you win your age group you get 100%, if you take twice as long as the winner then your score is 50%. Your age group will be taken as that stated on the official event results so the size of age bands may vary from race to race.
In addition to the main race, we want to recognise the racing achievements across other distances and disciplines, so we will be looking to award and recognise members for their participation in all kinds of events. Weβd love to hear from you about what youβve been up to, so please email Caroline.
To keep us all fit and entertained over the winter months, the Race Committee is organising the Kingfisher Winter Series. This is a, club members only, series of 5 events from November to March with one race event every month. The setup of every event is a bit different but the general idea is to get together before the event, do the event, and evaluate achievements afterwards with some drinks and/or food. Below is a list of the 5 events with some additional information. The RC encourages everyone to come along and participate where your aim may be to gain experience in racing, to check your fitness levels, or just to have good time with fellow club mates whilst being active. Signing up for the events is not necessary, just show up, and it's all free. Do be aware that these are social events where you are responsible for your own safety and risks of participating are yours. For every event the RC will assemble a results list and at the end of the series there may be some prizes π See you out there, Lieneke and Maarten
